About the Organization
The Harrington HealthCare system serves 150,000 residents in more than 21 towns in South Central Massachusetts and northern Connecticut.
The healthcare system is anchored by Harrington Hospital in Southbridge, MA, founded in 1931. The 114-bed acute care facility offers inpatient care for adults and children, intensive care unit, general surgery, cardiology, orthopedics, a maternity and delivery unit and comprehensive outpatient services including diagnostic imaging and lab.
We have grown exponentially in the past seven years. The system includes Harrington Hospital in Southbridge, Harrington HealthCare at Webster and three additional major medical office buildings: Harrington HealthCare at Charlton, Harrington HealthCare at 169, also in Charlton, and Harrington HealthCare at Spencer; Harrington Physician Services, our primary care and multi-specialty physician group; UrgentCare Express at Harrington and The Cancer Center at Harrington in Southbridge.
We offer advanced oncology and hematology care, wound care with hyperbaric medicine, occupational health, cardiac rehabilitation and comprehensive physical therapy, occupational therapy, audiology and speech.
About the Community
We have one of the most in-depth behavioral health service programs in the state. In addition to individual and family-based outpatient counseling, we offer a 14-bed inpatient psychiatric unit in Southbridge, a partial hospitalization program, an intensive substance abuse day program and a variety of recovery services. We are building a 16-bed dual diagnosis unit at our Webster campus to be completed at the end of 2016.
Our clinical affiliations include Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Childrens Hospital Boston and 21st Century Oncology/Radiation Therapy Services. We are accredited by The Joint Commission, an eight-time winner of an A grade for patient safety and a Top Hospital in the nation as awarded by the Leapfrog Group for 2013, 2014 and 2015.
Our community boasts old-fashioned Main Streets, vibrant businesses, excellent schools, restaurants and antique galleries, as well as pristine lakes and parks, among other amenities.
Our suburban, small-town location is within easy reach of world-class museums, colleges and wineries, cities of Boston, Providence, Hartford, Worcester, and Springfield, and the New England coast, including Cape Cod and the mountains of New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine.
