Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill is a multi-location, award-winning health system that serves the needs of Schuylkill County and the surrounding communities. The health system includes two acute-care community hospitals Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill East Norwegian Street, a 126-bed facility and Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill South Jackson Street, a 179-bed facility. Both facilities are accredited by the Joint Commission and have been recognized for numerous quality initiatives such as the Gold Plus Awards and Honor Roll from the American Heart Association in the treatment of congestive heart failure and cardiac disease.
With more than 300 hospital clients in 39 states, we offer physicians a diverse mix of assignments, including some of the Top 100 hospitals in the country. Large or small, rural and urban, a teaching hospital or one that is part of a larger system, youll find opportunities both abundant and challenging. EmCare provides support where its needed most: on-site so you can practice medicine instead of managing a practice, doing a ton of paperwork, and dealing with those pesky health plans billing denials. Our regionalized management structure enables us to develop a local Emergency Medicine Physician Practice for each hospital that provides the clinical and administrative leadership of an on-site Medical Director. Dedicated to providing quality clinical care, achieving high customer satisfaction, and supporting the hospital medical staff, the local EmCare emergency physicians are an integral part of a hospitals medical team and actively participate in quality management, education, hospital committees and community service programs. The Local Physician Practice receives the support of a Regional Support Team under the leadership of a Regional Physician Chief Executive Officer. Each regional support team is made up of a diverse group of individuals experienced in a wide range of emergency medicine disciplines. Both the local physician team and regional support team have access to significant National Resources ranging from quality management, reimbursement and risk management to physician education and best practice programs. EmCare puts a high premium on the professional development of physicians. Our programs are developed and provided through the EmCare Leadership Institute and our wholly owned subsidiary, Emergency Medicine Education System (EMEDS).
