Baptist Health Medical System of Arkansas is seeking BE/BC psychiatrists for multiple opportunities. These include inpatient adult psych, inpatient geriatric psych, and outpatient opportunities.

These are employed positions with Arkansas Health Group (AHG), a subsidiary of Baptist Health. AHG provides competitive salaries and benefit packages as well as medical malpractice insurance.

The inpatient adult need is currently on the campus of Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock (BHMC-LR) which is an 827 bed facility. There are currently 44 adult beds in the unit. There are plans for the near future to have a dedicated campus for behavioral health in southwest Little Rock (BHMC-SW). The 44 bed unit will be relocated from BHMC-LR to BHMC-SW and it will expand to a 62 bed unit.

The inpatient geriatric need is also currently at BHMC-LR and is a 16 bed unit. That program will also relocate to BHMC-SW and will then have 22 beds.

The outpatient opportunity is for a psychiatrist to manage patient medication. This is a new opportunity as there are currently no psychiatrists managing this for the system. The office location is already based on the BHMC-SW campus.

Little Rock is located in Central Arkansas and has much to offer in the way of outdoor activities as well as cultural experiences. It is easy to understand why Arkansas is called the Natural State from the many rivers, lakes, parks, hiking trails and camping sites readily available and in close proximity. Little Rock boasts the Little Rock Zoo, Arkansas Arts Center, Arkansas Symphony, and The Repertory Theater, to name a few. Little Rock has the only downtown home to both a state capitol and a Presidential Library, and is linked on both sides of the Arkansas River by 24 miles of one of the best trail systems of parks and pedestrian bridges in the country.
Baptist Health offers the most comprehensive healthcare system in the state of Arkansas. The Baptist Health system consists of eight, soon to be nine, hospitals. The campuses are located in Little Rock, North Little Rock, Arkadelphia, Heber Springs, Malvern, Stuttgart, and Conway (2016). Baptist Health has been caring for Arkansans since 1920 and continues to provide the best healthcare available with state-of-the-art technology and equipment. Baptist Health is dedicated to delivering patient-centered care with Christian compassion and personal concern. Job oppotunities are available for both primary care and specialty physicians. Financial arrangements include employment as well as income guarantee loan agreements.
