Saint Alphonsus Medical Group and Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center Boise have an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurology physician to be part of a growing general neurology outpatient clinic-based practice in Boise, Idaho.

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led and accountable 400+ provider multispecialty group practice seeking a Neurologist committed to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care and is willing to support and grow neurology practices in Nampa and Boise, Idaho within a multispecialty medical group framework. As the regional provider of advanced neurological services, Saint Alphonsus neurologists have the opportunity to provide care for patients with complex conditions, neurodegenerative disorders, seizures, and general neurological disease. Providers also have the opportunity to lead and participate in clinical trials.

The Saint Alphonsus Neuroscience Institute promotes collaboration with a team of general Neurosurgeons, Vascular Neurosurgeons, Neuroradiologists, Vascular Neurologists, Neurologists, Neuropathologists, Physiatrists, Oncologists and Neurootolaryngologists. Saint Alphonsus in Boise has a well-established Interventional Neuroradiology service that includes: biplane angiography, MRI/ MRA, CT/CTA, CT perfusion, 4-vessel angiography, and interventional stroke and aneurysm procedures. Support for the practice is bolstered by a full complement of specialists including Hospitalists and Intensivists. Saint Alphonsus uses a 3rd party telestroke service staffed by Vascular Neurologists for acute stroke coverage on nights and weekends. Technology and services available to Neurologists include EMG capability in the clinic and the hospital, EEG with web-based interpretation, TCD, Botox injection and infusion capability in the clinic, and the opportunity to participate in clinical trials.

The typical schedule includes 32 hours per week of ambulatory clinic patient contact time plus hospital consults/ rounding and call. Traditional work week based at the Boise clinic site, inpatient consults at SARMC Boise, plus call that may include evenings at SARMC Boise. Call is shared equally with other eligible members of the SAHS Department of Neurology & Neurosurgery.

The successful candidate will possess a strong clinical neurology background as well as a desire to develop a practice to support a growing multi-specialty medical group. Requirements for this opportunity include the successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency training program in Neurology, demonstration of the management of neurological patients in the last 12 months or the successful completion of an approved residency or clinical fellowship in the past two years. Providers must be board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or by the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology & Psychiatry or its equivalent (or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment), possess a full license in Idaho and Oregon to practice medicine in all its phases, valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy & DEA.

The opportunity requires Idaho and Oregon medical licensure and granting of privileges at SAMC-Nampa, SARMC-Boise and other system hospitals as needed. Saint Alphonsus Health System (SAHS) is the regional leader in telemedicine innovation and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to integrate the use of telemedicine into their practice to reach and better serve outlying communities.

SAHS utilizes Cerner PowerChart for their inpatient facilities and NextGen Ambulatory for outpatient clinics, therefore experience with EHR's is preferred.
