Medical Director of Inpatient Services

Candidate: BC/BE Internal Medicine Physician to lead our growing Hospitalist Medicine Team

Practice Profile: Our team provides 24/7 coverage for adult inpatients. We currently have12-hour shifts; 7on/7off; with Physicians and Nurse Practitioners providing the service to a wide variety of pathologies both on the Medical Surgical Floor and ICU with an average day shift workload of 17 patients. In this position we are open to other schedule arrangements to optimize the candidates leadership affectiveness.
In this role, no leadership experience is required! We have an administrative mentor available to train the candidate. This role will practice clinically and provide leadership to our provider team including: staffing and scheduling, performance management, budgeting, and quality/process improvement; 75% clinical and 25% administrative responsibilities.
Qualifications: BE/BC in Internal Medicine; excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills; demonstrated leadership ability and/or willingness to learn; 2 or more years recent Hospitalist Medicine experience preferred.
