Mercy Health Physician Partners (MHPP) and Mercy Health Saint Mary's have an excellent full time employment opportunity for an experienced Obstetric Hospitalist to join a supportive and innovative team located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The selected provider will preferably have two or more years of experience as an Obstetric Hospitalist, possess leadership skills and must be able to remain calm and lead the team during intense situations. The Obstetrics team is very patient centered with a Clinical Care Team that consists of RNs, Unit Clerk, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Clinical Nurse Leader, Nurse Manager and Nurse Director. There are also four Neonatal Physicians, Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and access to Maternal Fetal Medicine Physicians when needed. Anesthesia coverage is available around the clock.

The schedule for this opportunity is currently 13 - 12.5 hours rotating shifts per month including days, nights and some weekends.

The team partners with Michigan State University (medical students) and with residents, so teaching opportunities are available, if preferred. This is a great employment environment that works cohesively with community and Obstetric physicians.

The Birth Center is currently being renovated to create a family-centered experience in a relaxing environment.
