Fairview Health Services is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP)to join Fairview Medical Group - Urgent Care.

The NP, in collaboration with physicians and part of an interdisciplinary team, engages in independent decision making about health care needs of the clinic's patients. Assess patients, order and interpret diagnostic tests, make diagnoses, and initiate treatment plans including prescribing medications. The NPmay also perform minor surgical procedures.

This position may besplit between 2-3 urgent care locations.

Full-time or part-time opportunities available. Hours will be a combination of weeknights and weekends. Opportunity for flexible schedule.



Practice Details:

Provide a broad spectrum of non-emergent care for minor illness and injury.

Average number of patients seen in a shift is 25-30 patients (for an 8 hour shift).

We have a fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).



Position Qualifications:

A qualified candidate will be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and formal Nurse Practitioner training program. Have a current Minnesota RN license and be approved or eligible by the Minnesota Board of Nursing for prescription writing privileges. Be eligible or certified through ANCC / AANP or NCCPA and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges. Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous primary care, ER or urgent care experience preferred.
