The MHealth Primary Care Centerprovides you and your family with compassionate, quality health care. We specialize in the prevention and treatment of acute and chronic diseases and due to our University location have the privilege of caring for patient receiving tertiary and quaternary care at MHealth. Our services include family medicine, internal medicine, health psychology, and pharmaceutical care. We also provide expertise in such areas as sports and travel medicine.

Ourpractitioners provide care for many medical conditions including (but not limited to) the following:

Aging geriatrics and eldercare
Alzheimer's disease
Bladder, urinary tract
Breast disease (non-cancer)
Childhood diseases
Digestive system
Family medicine/primary care
Infectious diseases
Internal medicine/general medicine

University of Minnesota Physicians seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistantto join the team at The Primary Care Center. The Certified NP or PA is a member of the primary health care team who works in collaboration with physicians and other medical staff to provide comprehensive health care to patients. TheNP/PA engages in independent decision making about health care needs and provides health care services to individuals. The NP/PA obtains patient histories, perform physical and psychological health assessments, provide patient and family education and counseling, ensure continuity of health care services, and manage acute and chronic disease conditions. The patients seen in the PCC are often medically and socially complex and the NP/PA would be an integral team member to see patients on an urgent basis with the support of the existing physician and NP team.

The NP/PA will primarily be seeing return patients for existing providers in the clinic and to accomodate same day and walk in patients.

The new MHealth Clinics and Surgery Center opened on February 29, 2016 and features state of the art technology and processes to enhance the care of complex patients. There will be some clinic sessions expected until 7pm and occasional Saturday clinic 8-12, no call.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum one-year experience required.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and formal adult or family nurse practitioner training program or accredited physician assistant training program.

Current MN APRN license, Approved or eligible by the Minnesota Board of Nursing for prescription writing privileges, or licensure through the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Certified through ANCC, AANP orNCCPA.Meets threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileging.
