PeaceHealth is seeking a Physician - Medical Oncology based in the Bellingham community.

Join our collegial, patient-centered, multi-disciplinary team in providing a medically advanced and holistic approach to cancer care in our new 35,000 square foot cancer center.

We offer comprehensive cancer services, including diagnosis and management of hematologic and oncologic conditions, chemotherapy, biologic therapy, transfusions and radiation treatments. Our cancer patients and survivors have access to clinical trials, support groups, complementary therapies (yoga, massage, etc.), and spiritual care. We address our patients needs across the cancer continuum by providing navigation, financial counseling, nutrition services, survivorship and palliative care.

The PeaceHealth St. Joseph Cancer Center team includes 4 Medical Oncologists, 3 Radiation Oncologists, 2 Physician Assistants, Oncology Nurses, Clinical Trials Staff, Cancer Registrars and numerous professionals who provide support services.

Our oncology providers also cover satellite clinics on San Juan Island and in Ketchikan, Alaska. We also partner with PeaceHealth United General Hospital in Sedro Woolley, WA.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Commission on Cancer accredited facility.
PeaceHealth has been selected to participate in the CMS Oncology Care Model which is an initiative to improve care through transformational models of care delivery.
General tumor board and site-specific tumor boards for breast and thoracic oncology to provide evidence-based medicine.
Actively involved in clinical trials. Opportunity for investigator sponsored studies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Board Eligible or Board Certified in Medical Oncology.
Opportunity available for a leadership role, if interested.
Willingness to participate in quality improvement projects, tumor boards and other practice initiatives.
Possession of Federal DEA number without restriction.
Licensure in the State of Washington or ability to obtain.
