The NH Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency (NHDFMR) is currently seeking a collaborative forward-thinking leader to further its mission of educating physicians who are competent, compassionate community-based leasers. NHDFMR is a longstanding, highly successful 8-8-8 training program focused on population health, systems thinking, while caring for the underserved. The Program Director will oversee a progressive graduate medical education program, two family health centers and a robust Quality Improvement program. NHDFMR is an ACGME-accredited residency program sponsored by Concord Hospital and with an academic appointment from Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.

Responsibilities include:

Lead and direct the NH Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency, a Leadership Preventive Medicine Residency and two Concord Hospital Family Health Centers by devoting principal effort to their management and administration as well as teaching, clinical care, and research.
Furthering our programs mission and values on local, state, and national levels.
Oversight of strategic planning and leading the organizations efforts to achieve strategic goals.
Supervising family medicine faculty.
Administering and managing a core family medicine residency program; maintaining continued accreditation.
Executing the duties as prescribed by the ACGME.
Maintaining an active role in teaching and clinical practice.

Our ideal candidate will have at least five (5) years experience as a family medicine physician and a minimum of two (2) years experience as a core faculty member in an ACGME-accredited family medicine residency program in addition to some leadership experience in health care education or GME. Additional preparatory instruction (e.g. National Institute for Program Director Development, ACGME Physician in Management series, Masters Degree, etc.) is highly desired.
