Vice Chair of Education


The Childrens Hospital of Richmond (CHoR) at Virginia Commonwealth University seeks a senior clinician educator to serve as the inaugural Barry V Kirkpatrick Professor and Vice Chair for Education in the Department of Pediatrics.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


- Oversee education of medical students, residents, and post-doctoral fellows
- Development of didactics, educational conferences, and growth and support of existing training programs.
- Assist in developing GME applications and will ensure compliance with all UME and GME requirements.
- Responsible for preparing the residency and fellowship programs for ACGME site visits and the UME program for LCME accreditation visits.


QUALIFICATIONS:


- MD degree with current Board Certification in pediatrics
- Eligible for appointment at the rank of Professor
- Nationally recognized educator in ACGME accredited pediatric training program
