Medical Director Hematology/Oncology

The Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine Division of Hematology, Oncology and Palliative Care, along with Massey Cancer Center are seeking a seasoned Clinician Educator to serve as Medical Director to provide oncology to patients in South Hill, Virginia.

Through the Massey-VCU CMH partnership, Masseybrings VCU CMH cancer patients the benefits of a nationally recognized cancer center designated by the National Cancer Institute, with top-notch cancer specialists, highly coordinated care and tailored treatment plans.A variety of Masseys clinical trials are available at VCU CMH, offering advanced treatment options.Massey-VCU CMH operates the first and only radiation treatment facility in the Southern Virginia area, the Solari Radiation Therapy Center. Byoffering both medical and radiation oncology services, Massey-VCU CMH can provide the most cancer treatment options in the region and conveniently deliver this first-rate cancer care.

Job Requirements:
- Act as Medical Director
- Attend oncology outpatient clinic three to four days a week
- Provide inpatient consults as needed
- Teach and evaluate medical students, Residents and Fellow
- Educate patients on treatment options
- Keep up to date on clinical trials menu

- Board Certified Medical Oncology
- Administrative experience commensurate with a leadership position
- National/International recognition in the clinical disciplines of cancer
