Baylor Scott White Health is recruiting a BC/BE Cardio-thoracic Surgeon to join the Central Texas Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery. The Division has campuses in Temple and Round Rock, with future expansion plans into other hospitals in the Austin Area. The team provides cardiothoracic services in the Temple and Round Rock (North Austin) Regions. The ideal candidate will be proficient in all aspects of adult cardiac surgery and expected to contribute to the growth and development of disease based programs in partnership with the Divisions of Cardiology and Vascular Surgery. We are actively involved in medical student and resident education. Academic appointment at the level of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor through Texas AM College of Medicine will be determined by experience and qualifications. The Division also has an active research program and is committed to supporting the right individual develop his / her research interest.The ideal candidate is a hard-working, team player with a favorable work and/or training history. The physician should be able to independently administer and interpret routine and special diagnostic test in an expedient and professional manner. Candidates should also be able to effectively collaborate with referring physicians, agencies and other professionals to provide optimum care for each patient. Specialty/Department/Practice Cardiovascular Surgery Shift/Schedule Monday through Friday, supporting clinic business hours and night and weekend call rotation is TBD. Additional training in minimally invasive valve surgery, TAVR, and TEVAR would be valuable.
