Fairview Health Services is seeking a board certified General Surgeon to join Fairview Surgical Consultants, a busy surgical practice in Burnsville, MN.

The General Surgeon will perform general surgical procedures.

As a part of the Fairview Health Services system, providers have access to consultation, collaborative management or referral as indicated by the health status of the patient. Also, an established referral base of Fairview employed primary care and subspecialty physicians.

Practice Details:

Join a team of 18 surgeons (6 MDs in Burnsville, 7 MDs in Edina, and 5 vascular surgeons)
Clinic location: Fairview Surgical Consultants Burnsville (20 minutes south of Minneapolis)
Surgical cases preformed at: Fairview Ridges Hospital and the Ridges Surgery Center in Burnsville, MN.
Admitting Hospital: Fairview Ridges Hospital
Full time (1.0 FTE) or Part time (0.8 FTE). Ability for a 4 day clinical work week.
Call Frequency: 1:6. 1 day per week (7am-7am). Coverage for Fairview Ridges Hospital only.
Fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).
Established referral base of Fairview employed primary care andsub specialtyphysicians.

Fairview Surgical Consultants Burnsville, established in the 1950s, is located in the Ridgeview Medical Office Building on campus of Fairview Ridges Hospital.

Position Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited ACGME General Surgery residency training program.
Board Certified/Board Prepared with the American Board of Medical Specialties.
Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
ATLS Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to start employment 1Q2018 would be preferred.
