Ochsner Health System is seeking a BC/BE STRABISMUS FELLOWSHIP TRAINED PEDIATRIC OPHTHAMOLOGIST to join our expanding practice. This is an excellent opportunity to join a department that offers an opportunity to treat both adults and children. The position is based in New Orleans and will help cover our ROP service. This position also offers academic opportunities along with an affiliation with University of Queensland School of Medicine.

The Department of Ophthalmology & Optometry includes 31 ophthalmologists and optometrists who provide ophthalmic and optometric care at our facilities located in the New Orleans, North Shore and Baton Rouge regions. We offer a full range of services for the treatment of advanced eye disease and corrective surgery, providing comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for patients of all ages for the following eye disorders and conditions. A premier regional leader in ophthalmic care and education, the department facilitates the training and development of future ophthalmologists, optometrists, and support staff by participation in the Ophthalmology residency training, the Ochsner Optometry residency program and the Delgado Ophthalmic Technician Program.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Ochsner Hospital for Childrens rapidly growing team of over 130 physicians, including more than 60 subspecialists leading a full spectrum of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialty teams. The group is the areas leading integrated provider of multispecialty care for infants, children, adolescents and young adults and offers a full range of pediatric services, including solid organ transplantation, bone marrow transplant and advanced pediatric cardiovascular services as well as level IV regional referral NICU and fetal surgery.
