University of Minnesota Physiciansseeks a board eligible/board certified Physician Assistant fora Part Time (0.6 FTE) position at the MHealth Cancer Care Lakes Cancer Clinic in Wyoming, MN.

In this role, the PA will:

Engage in comprehensive diagnosis and management of complex heme-onc patients in all spectrums of care including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation therapy, and supportive care.
Complete comprehensive histories and physicals of hematology-oncology patients.
Collaborate with attending physicians, consultants and members of the multidisciplinary team.
Initiate orders and implement diagnostic and treatment plans, including intravenous fluids, medications, and transfusions.
Perform minor procedures, including bone marrow aspiration and biopsy, lumbar puncture, intrathecal chemotherapy administration and paracentesis.
Call Coverage: No call coverage
Openings: Part Time (0.6 FTE)
Schedule: 3 days per week

Position Qualifications:

A qualified candidate will be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Have a current MN PA license with prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice. Be certified through the NCCPA and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advance practice experience in an oncology clinic setting is preferred.
