Southwest Virginia Nephrology Opportunity

Blue Ridge Nephrology, an independent, physician-owned practice serving the New River Valley, is looking for a nephrologist to join their group in serving the Wytheville, VA area. Applicants should be patient centered; like to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment; believe in providing high quality services; able to join a high functioning team; and desire an experience with serving patients from a rural community. This is an employment arrangement with the group with an income guarantee from the hospital. The 12 year established group is developing a new service line for the Wytheville market to include inpatient dialysis and an outpatient clinic. Candidate must be board certified or board eligible with a fellowship in nephrology. Base compensation with medical directorship opportunity available. Student loan repayment, sign on bonus and relocation allowance are negotiable, as is a stipend for last year of fellowship. Medical malpractice coverage, professional licenses and fees paid, vacation time, CME and educational and professional society meeting time allowed. Office space is on the hospital campus.

About the Hospital

Wythe County Community Hospital is a 100-bed acute care hospital that serves the residents of Wythe and Bland counties and is fully accredited by the Joint Commission. The hospital is located at the intersection of Interstates 77 and 81, bringing thousands of travelers through the area each year. The hospital offers 24-hour Emergency Care, Surgery, Extended Care Services, Intensive Care, Womens Services (Obstetrics, Womens Center, Stereotactic Breast Biopsy and Mammography), Radiology Services (General Radiology, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and CT), Rehabilitation Services, Hospice, Home Health, Cardiology, Respiratory, Cancer Services, Pastoral Care and Community / Occupational Education.
