In conjunction with Ascension Medical Group, Newland Medical Associates, P.C., a well-established multispecialty office including Infectious Disease, Hematology/Oncology, and Rheumatology private practice based in Southfield, Michigan is recruiting a full-time Infectious Disease physician to add to their practice. The practice has been in existence since 1982, and has a total of 10 Infectious Disease, 8 Hematology/Oncology and 2 Rheumatology physicians. There are additional offices on campus at Providence Park in Novi and Bingham Farms. 85 + staff members support the five office locations. All physicians in the practice are board certified, and are involved in teaching and rounding with medical students, residents, and fellows when on service. In 2016, the practice saw 40,000 outpatients and 33,500 inpatient visits. At the Southfield, Novi and Bingham, there are 32 chairs for chemotherapy and antibiotic infusions. The practice includes a Hepatitis clinic and the Newland Immunology Center Excellence promotes research of infectious diseases and provides care for hepatitis and HIV patients.

Visits include: new patients, consultations, follow-up visits, antibiotic, and chemotherapy infusions.
On-site billing; payor mix is 45% Medicare, 2% Medicaid, 31% BCBS and 22% other insurances.
Call schedule is 1:5. Holidays are split evenly amongst each physician.
Each ID physician spends 2 half days per week seeing patients in the office, and the remainder of the time is spent covering inpatient at Providence Hospital, Providence Park and one other nearby hospital on a monthly rotating schedule.
The Southfield, Bingham Farms and Novi offices are open M F.
Special interest and willingness to teach is desirable.
Salary and benefits are negotiable.
Candidates must be BE/BC graduates of an accredited medical school, have successfully completed training in an accredited Internal Medicine residency and Infectious Diseases fellowship programs, and meet the requirements for medical licensure to practice in Michigan.
