Physician - Infectious Disease Specialist

Backus Hospital, an affiliate of Hartford HealthCare is a 213-bed hospital located in Norwich,CT with numerous off-site locations, including several health centers We currently have a Full Time opportunity for an Infectious Disease Physician.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Division Director of Infectious Disease, the Infectious Disease Specialist will be part of a department with responsibilities that include:
Inpatient & Outpatient consultations including outpatient HIV and Hepatitis C
Wound Care
Antimicrobial Stewardship program
Activities of infection control and hospital epidemiology programs
Post graduate medical education for Fellows, Residents and medical students
Appointment to the University of Connecticut School of Medicine
Active Hospitalist program for inpatients
Shared call with other ID physicians

Minimum Requirements:

MD or DO Board Certified in Internal Medicine
Completion of Fellowship in Infectious Diseases
BC/BE in Infectious Disease
