BC/BE Family Medicine physician to join a faculty of 6 board certified family medicine physicians, a behavioral science coordinator and a PharmD, teaching in an 18-resident, community-based, university-affiliated program.

The program combines the unique educational opportunities of a secondary referral hospital
with the additional advantage of a formal affiliation agreement with the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine and the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for the educational opportunities of a large university tertiary care center.

Candidates must possess MD or DO medical degree and be board certified in Family Medicine. Previously experience in Family Medicine is strongly preferred with previous faculty experience preferred. Must be able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges. Must be able to maintain participating provider status with Medicare and Medicaid programs and not have been excluded from participation in any federally-funded health care program, including Medicare and Medicaid. Must be able to maintain an unrestricted federal DEA number and Iowa Controlled Substance permits. BLS and ACLS certification no later than three months from date of hire.
