Patient care: Provide specialized cardiovascular diagnosis and treatment to patients in the VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System. Attend in the ICU, on the inpatient consultation service, in the outpatient clinic. Consistent with experience and qualifications, attend in the non-invasive cardiovascular and/or cardiac catheterization laboratories.

Cardiovascular Research: Develop and pursue an independent investigative program in basic, clinical, or health services research related to cardiovascular disease; collaborate with other faculty colleagues and mentors in research; seek extramural research grant support; produce academic and scholarly products including peer-reviewed publications, abstracts, reviews, and book of chapters.

Education: Teach and mentor cardiology fellows, medical residents, and medical students; participate in the educational activities of the Cardiology Division, UC Denver.

Administrative/miscellaneous: Participate in process improvement and quality assurance projects; other duties as assigned.
