The Oklahoma City Veterans Affairs Medical Center is seeking a full-time physician to develop an Academic Hospitalist Program as well as Staff Hospitalists for the Medical Service.

The Oklahoma City VAMC is a tertiary health care facility serving Oklahoma and part of northern Texas and is an integral part of the educational and research mission of Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center.

Physician will be the primary attending for a general medicine inpatient team, provide direct care, and supervise an outpatient diagnostic center and follow-up clinic. In addition, training and experience with quality management in the health care setting is preferred.

He/she will apply national and VA guidelines to patient screening, surveillance and management of patients with a variety of general internal medicine conditions.

He/she will participate in the education and supervision of trainees.

Research experience is preferred.

Successful candidates would qualify for a faculty appointment in the Department of Internal Medicine at Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center.
