The Team The Hospital

500+ bed, community hospital
26 Physician team with 4 Advanced Practitioners , Hospitalist RN, and Hospitalist Coordinator
Blocked schedule for a sustainable career with programs consistently staffed to levels that facilitate a manageable workload
EPIC EMR
Full subspecialty support with 24/7 critical care team
12 hour shifts (7p-7a) on a 7 on/7 off block schedule or 9p-7a working four ten hour shifts

Requirements of Advanced Practitioners

Perform evaluation and management services to patients requiring hospitalist services with the hospitalist practice
Cross cover for the hospitalist team
Write progress notes
Order and interpret routine and special laboratory studies
Write orders for inpatient medicine
Perform such other responsibilities as reasonably assigned by the chief hospitalist and within NP scope of practice
Cover after hour calls from patient care staff- including and not limited to Electrolyte replacement, Hypertension, and other acute situations which may arise overnight for 2 buildings
Consult with covering physician as needed based on patient situations that may arise for 2 buildings
Consult other physician services as dictated per patient condition
Consult other healthcare disciplines as needed per patient condition
Work closely with Rapid Response Teams to treat patient conditions as required and collaborate with covering physicians
Cross cover pages from nursing staff for patient care needs which may arise overnight

Current, unrestricted license in Ohio and certification in ACLS and BLS/Adult Acute Care. Will consider Family Practice or Geriatric Certification with recent acute care experience.
