Ascension Wisconsin/Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare is currently seeking a highly motivated and energetic full time Nocturnist physician to join our collegial group at our hospital in Racine, WI.

MEDICAL GROUP:

Multispecialty group of 140+ physicians which includes 36 Adult Medicine Physicians
- Physician Friendly Environment


HOSPITALIST PROGRAM:
- SHIFT
- Hours: 7PM 7AM
- 144 shifts required per year (an almost 20% Night differential compared with days)
- 2 Providers on this shift
- Each provider is only responsible for 7 admissions (exception would be ICU patient must be seen regardless of number of admissions)
- After 2am, you will just be placing Holding orders and are NOT responsible for writing H&P, even if youre not capped at 7 patients (exception again would be ICU admissions)
- ICU is an open environment
- Nocturnist only responsible for H&P orders, the more complex patients can be signed out to the ICU NP or ICU attending to take over care (e.g. any vented patients or those with vasopressor requirement)
- No procedures required
- 24-7 PICC team; thus you are not responsible for lines
- Critical Care and Surgery also available for line placement
- Respiratory therapy or Anesthesia available for intubations
- Responsible for floor RRTs and any code blue outside of the ER or ICU
- Good Medicine & Surgical subspecialty support at night
