St. John Providence, the fourth largest health system in Southeastern Michigan, is seeking a Director of Gynecologic Oncology services to join and lead their busy and expanding Gyn Onc division. This is an employed position with Providence Hospital (Southfield, Michigan) and Providence Park Hospital (Novi, Michigan). Providence Hospital is a 365 bed teaching hospital in a suburb bordering Detroit. Providence Park Hospital is a 200-bed hospital with a large network of high-quality, award-winning physicians who offer advanced care in a wide variety of services.

The Gynecologic Oncology division provides in/outpatient consultations for gynecologic malignancies, as well as complicated gynecologic procedures. Our team currently includes 2 team members, one of whom is the Departmental Chairperson. We are part of a multi-disciplinary effort including radiation oncology and pathology. The position would be primarily clinical (0.8 FTE) with teaching and administrative responsibilities (0.2 FTE). Research opportunities are available. Call would be 1:3. This position offers a very competitive salary (with productivity bonus), excellent benefits and a generous CME package. The successful candidate will receive a clinical faculty appointment to Michigan State University commensurate with their credentials.

Providence | Providence Park Hospital has an accredited Obstetrics & Gynecology residency training program (5 residents/year) affiliated with Michigan State University COM/CHM. The Gyn Onc division also provides medical student and resident teaching/supervision.

Qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of accredited medical school
Successful completion of training in ABOG-approved Obstetrics & Gynecology residency
Successful completion of training in ABOG-approved Gynecologic Oncology fellowship
Robotic training/competency preferred
ABOG certified or eligible
Meets requirements for medical licensure to practice in the State of Michigan
Previous experience and/or interest in an administrative role and teaching is a plus
