Prevea Health, Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS), and Medical College of Wisconsin-Green Bay (MCW-Green Bay) invite applications and nominations for the position of founding Program Director for the Family Medicine Residency Program in Green Bay, Wisconsin. MCW-Green Bay is an innovative and regional medical school campus that was created to help increase the workforce in Northeast Wisconsin. The first cohort of medical students was admitted to the Green Bay campus in July 2015. The residency program is an outgrowth of this new regional medical school campus in Green Bay. This venture will provide a local site for graduates of the MCW-Green Bay campus to continue their training beginning in July 2019. The Family Medicine residency program will be a 4-4-4 academically focused and community oriented program.

This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished Family Medicine educator and seasoned administrator to take the lead on developing a new residency program in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Green Bay area has the benefit of strong health systems with highly regarded physicians and established programs for student clinical rotations. This startup residency program has been enthusiastically embraced by the civic and business community as a solution to help address the anticipated shortage of physicians in Wisconsin over the next twenty years. Students will be rotating through Prevea Health clinics and two leading HSHS hospitals in Green Bay: HSHS St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center and HSHS St. Vincent Hospital.

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer of Prevea Health with dotted lines to the Regional Campus Dean at MCW-Green Bay, the Chair of Family Medicine at MCW-Milwaukee, and the MCW Senior Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education, the new Program Director will be a strong collaborator who will work closely with the community-based physicians, county medical societies, academic and health system leaders, local government, business and civic leaders, and the leaderships of Prevea Health, HSHS, and MCW. The Program Director will be an experienced, innovative, and energetic administrator who is excited by the opportunity to build a new program. This individual will play a leading role in defining and formalizing all aspects of the residency program. The successful candidate will recruit faculty, develop curricula, achieve Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accreditation, and work with the local hospitals and medical staff to establish rotation experiences. Ideal candidates will bring at least five years of participation in an ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Residency Program, at least three years of GME administrative experience, in depth understanding of regulatory and accreditation systems involved in GME, and a proven track record working with multiple stakeholders.
