Sea Mar Community Health Center:
Sea Mar Community Health Centers was founded in 1978 with a single clinic in the South Park neighborhood of Seattle. Today, Sea Mar is Washingtons largest provider of community-based, comprehensive health care with over 34 medical clinics along the Puget Sound. We are looking for mission driven physicians dedicated to serving underserved and diverse communities.

Family Physician:
The physician is part of a care team working to provide quality comprehensive services to Sea Mar patients. The physician will work collaboratively with staff to provide team-based coordinated care.

The physician provides primary medical care services to patients of Sea Mar Community Health Centers in accordance with training, experience, certification, insurance and licensure in a manner consistent with guidelines established in the principles of practice at Sea Mar and its mission statement.

The physician prescribes and/or dispenses required medication to patients according to the individual prescriptive authority granted by the Washington State Board.

The physician participates in organizing and directing preventive health programs such as immunization, disease detection and disease prevention activities, including educational programs for patients and community groups in the service areas with approval from the Clinical Director and/or Clinic Manager.

The physician is expected to participate in clinical affairs, working with administrative personnel, the Clinical Director and the Medical Director to improve the patient care experience.

Qualifications:
Basic Education: Licensed M.D or D.O.

Minimal Formal Training: Successful completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) approved post-graduate residency; board certification in the appropriate specialty or actively seeking board certification. Applicant must be board certified within five (5) years of residency completion. A current DEA certificate is required if applicant is requesting privileges to prescribe controlled substances. A current CPR certificate is required. A current NRP certificate is required if applicant is requesting OB privileges. Additional education may be required for some specialty areas (orthopedics, etc.).

Other: Knowledge or an interest in the unique cultural aspects of the Hispanic people is needed. Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
