The group manages a high acuity medical service, is integrally involved with the stroke program, works in co-management with orthopedics, and is looking to further expand perioperative services and consult services.

Requirements include a strong internal medicine background with geriatrics and a desire to develop a practice to support a growing multi-specialty medical group. The physician will also ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures and guidelines used in the medical treatment facility and request timely consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated. The qualified candidate must be passionate about adult health issues and demonstrate evidence of comprehensive assessment skills, expert clinical skills and problem solving abilities.

The ideal candidate will commit to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care while demonstrating and modeling our organizations core values of reverence, a commitment to those who are poor, justice, stewardship and integrity. As a member of the medical group, you will also need to obtain Idaho and Oregon medical licensure to maintain and strengthen the Health Systems family medicine program across all communities we serve. The physician must hold a valid controlled substance registration with both the Idaho and Oregon Boards of Pharmacy and the DEA. The opportunity also requires the granting of privileges at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC).

The desirable candidate will also have prior internal medicine healthcare experience in a clinic setting; this experience may be through a residency training program. Moreover, Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) utilizes the NexGen electronic health record (EHR) in its clinics and each Saint Alphonsus hospital facility utilizes Cerner PowerChart EHR and CPOE.
