Responsibilities:

Chair the Borgess Vascular Institute Leadership Council by facilitating agenda preparation and meetings to achieve the vision and objectives of the Borgess Vascular Institute

Through the Leadership Council, develop a vision and key strategies and create a collaborative model with other clinical specialties and primary care to achieve the vision

Assist in development of the quality, financial and other metrics for ambulatory and acute care that can be used to evaluate the performance of the Borgess Vascular Institute. Quality metrics should align with appropriate Borgess Quality Council (s), BCBSM or other health plan quality collaboratives, and/or recognized professional organizations performance bench marks

Help assess and create regional outreach activities, seamless referral patterns and programs to promote and expand the geographic market of Borgess Vascular Services. Assist in education and promotion of the institutes quality metrics and other performance outcomes to build awareness and support of the regional referral community

Evaluate the cost of care, ambulatory and acute, and identify opportunities to improve and/or to prepare for different payment methodologies such as bundled payment

Develop new service procedures, and/or technologies that will advance the institutes capabilities and objectives

Through the Leadership Council, foster innovation, research and medical education and teaching support

Provides clinical services to non-surgical patients with diagnostic study interpretation

Requirements:
Board certified in Internal Medicine
Fellowship in Vascular Medicine with clinical experience treating peripheral vascular disease
Demonstrated past leadership role(s)
Ability to work in collaboration with others
