St. John Hospital & Medical Center

St. John Hospital & Medical Center, Detroit, MI Family Medicine residency program, with offices in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, is seeking a BC FM teaching faculty physician with qualifications in OB preferred for a full spectrum family medicine position. The fully accredited residency program was established back in 1973 and has a strong academic record and well respected community and hospital presence. The program consists of seven residents per year. Inpatient rounding is shared (1:8 weeks), and obstetric call schedule is 1x per week. In the clinic, the health care team includes eight physician faculty, a PhD behavioral medicine specialist, a care coordinator, and a RN. The office is open Monday thru Thursday from 8:30 a.m. 8:00 p.m., Friday from 8:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. 12:00 p.m. Onsite ancillary services include office procedures, x-ray, and lab. This is a full-time, employed position consisting of 40% dedicated clinical time, 20-30% teaching/precepting time, and 30-40% administration/research time.

A graduate of an accredited medical school and Family Medicine residency program
Board certified in Family Medicine and qualifications in OB preferred
Interest in teaching residents and medical students
Meet requirements for medical licensure to practice in Michigan
