West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Surgery, Division of Urology is actively recruiting a board certified/board eligible urologist to join the faculty practice in Morgantown, WV. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will be actively involved in teaching medical students and surgery/urology residents, as well as providing outreach support in our new clinic in Fairmont, WV. Opportunities also exist in clinical research.

The Division of Urology provides state-of-the-art urologic care to patients throughout West Virginia and its border states. Its primary focus includes urologic oncology, female urology, urinary tract stone disease, and voiding dysfunction. In addition, the division has launched programs in brachytherapy for prostate and kidney cancer, in laparoscopic and robotic urology, and in sacral neuromodulation. WVU urologists are currently performing minimally invasive surgical procedures for benign prostate enlargement. The Division performs approximately 2,000 procedures annually.

The Division of Urology offers an ACGME-accredited five-year Urology Residency Training Program, as well as clerkships in urology and pediatric urology for third-year medical students. Fourth-year medical student electives in urology include clinical urology, urology research, and neurourology/voiding dysfunction.


Successful candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Candidates must have completed an accredited urology residency program. Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with credentials.
