West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Division Chief for Pediatric Pulmonology to lead a division with a large potential for growth.

Successful candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be ABP board certified in general pediatrics and certified or eligible in pediatric pulmonary. Additionally, candidates should have experience in an academic medical center, and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with credentials. Responsibilities will include providing excellent patient care, developing a statewide program for pediatric pulmonary care, including acute and chronic management, and teaching of medical students and pediatric residents. Support is available for initiating a Pediatric Pulmonary fellowship program as well, and opportunities exist to participate in clinical and translational research.

The division is currently staffed with support from a research coordinator, a nurse coordinator, a dietician, a pharmacist, committed pediatric respiratory therapists and social work support. WVU's Mountain State Cystic Fibrosis Center is a CF-Therapeutics Development Network Center, currently overseen by Pediatric ID. The centers respiratory data are among the best in the country. We also have an AASM accredited sleep lab and pediatric sleep disorders clinic.

WVU Medicine Childrens Hospital is the premier site within the state for primary through tertiary care of children. The department has close working relationships with colleagues in the pediatric surgical subspecialties and pediatric radiology.
