UT Health - Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital

UT Health is recruiting additional Trauma Surgeons to join the Division of Acute Care Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. We are seeking four trauma surgeons for Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital during the transition from an ACS verified level 3 to level 2 trauma hospital. Candidates must be Board Certified or Eligible in both Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. While the primary practice location will be Memorial Hermann Southwest, surgeons will also have the opportunity to take trauma call at Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center Duke Trauma Institute, the busiest level one trauma hospital in the nation.

-Academic affiliation with UT Health at level of Assistant or Associate Professor
-Privileges at Memorial Hermann Hospital (MHH) Southwest, current level 3 hospital in pursuit of level 2
-Privileges at MHH Texas Medical Center, the busiest level 1 trauma hospital in the nation
-Competitive base salary with additional call pay

Requirements:

-ABS Certification Both Surgery (BC) and Critical Care (BC/BE)
-Completion of ACS or Surgical Critical Care Fellowship
-Eligible for Texas license

-53 ICU beds with brand new state of the art 8 bed trauma ICU
