Marshall Medical Center is seeking a full-time physician assistant with a background or interest in orthopedic surgery to team up with a sports medicine fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon.

Duties will include assisting in clinical practice, being first assist in the operating room as well as pre--op, post-ops, follow-ups and in-patient consultations. The position will also include performing reductions, splinting/casting as needed and assisting with in-patient rounding, care coordination, interpreting lab results and ordering appropriate diagnostic studies. No after hours calling is required.

- Ortho experience preferred, but not required

- Assist orthopedist with inpatient, outpatient, ER cases during normal business hours at level III trauma center.

- Work by side of Stanford fellowship trained sports medicine 49ers 2015 Orthopedic Surgeon

- Ability to work in partnership with orthopedic surgeon and support staff

- Strong PPO population

- Required: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university, graduate of an accredited PA program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc., California license, certification as a PA by the NCCPA, BLS and DEA license.
