Pikeville Medical Center is currently seeking an Adult Endocrinologist for a hospital based practice. We are seeking a Physician with experience in insulin pumps, continuous glucose monitoring systems and an interest in managing patients with endocrine problems emphasizing on diabetes. Our diabetes education program has been recognized by the American Diabetes Association and our certified diabetes educator has received certification in Medtronic Minimed insulin pumps and Real Time continuous glucose monitoring system. The Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner has 20 years experience with PMC. PMC just recently completed their $150 million clinic building, which houses brand new state of the art Endocrinology physician offices and exam rooms. Other services we offer that complement this practice are : Pediatric Endocrinology, Radiology, Ophthalmology, Bariatric Surgery and Nutrition and Diabetes Education. Must be board eligible or board certified.

Pikeville Medical Center recently received our Level II Trauma accreditation, making us the only Level II Trauma center in the state of KY. Last year the hospital received more than 100 air transfers and over 700 ambulance transfers with trauma patients.

Pikeville Medical Center recently completed a $150 million expansion that includes a ten-story parking garage, an 11-story clinic building for house physician offices and exam rooms, state-of-the-art operating rooms with new pre/post op care areas. We are now working toward expanding our intensive care services and adding 29 beds, bringing the total number of intensive care beds to 53. We are presently expanding the Heart Institute upgrading the existing cardiac cath labs, creation of an interventional radiology/vascular suite, and a new dining facility, all anticipated to be completed by this summer. The total cost of these plus other ongoing projects are expected to exceed $130 million.
