Group Health Plan Inc. (a.k.a. HealthPartners) has an opportunity for a Pediatrician to work in White Bear Lake, Minnesota and Maplewood, Minnesota. The primary duty of the Pediatrician is to diagnose, treat, and help prevent diseases and injuries in children from birth to 18 years of age. This position examines and treats children who have minor to severe illnesses or injuries, acute and chronic health problems, and assesses and monitors physical growth, and social, emotional, and motor development. This position requires a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited medical school, plus three (3) years of experience in pediatric medicine, which may have been gained during a physician residency program. Also requires Board certification in Pediatrics and a current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Minnesota. Must have experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: (1) newborn in-patient admissions and rounding; and (2) neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) experience.
