Practice Scope: Outpatient / ambulatory model within Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG), a vibrant and growing multispecialty group practice; hybrid model also available.

Primary Location(s): Multiple openings at locations within the Boise Metro Area

Practice model: Employment or Professional Services Agreement (PSA)

Status: Full Time

Availability: Negotiable

Requirements: A doctor of medicine (MD) or a doctor of osteopathy (DO) degree (MD/DO); successful completion of an accredited internal medicine residency program; current, unrestricted full license in Idaho and Oregon to practice medicine in all its phases; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho and Oregon Boards of Pharmacy and DEA; board certification through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM) (or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment).

Work Schedule: Traditional clinic work week, Monday through Friday; no less than 34 hours of scheduled patient contact time

Call Coverage: Outpatient call (with supportive call triage service) shared equitably with other eligible SAMG adult medicine providers; SARMC operates an adult inpatient hospitalist medicine service

EMR/EHR: NextGen Ambulatory EHR; Inpatient EMR /Computerized Order Entry (CPOE): Cerner PowerChart

Our group seeks internists who are committed to a multi-disciplinary team-based approach to care and who provide this care in a high quality and compassionate manner healing the body, mind and spirit.
Well-qualified candidates should be passionate and knowledgeable about adult health issues, possess a general internal medicine background and desire to develop outpatient-based practices in support of our growing multi-specialty medical group within a regionally integrated healthcare system; experience with electronic health records (EHRs) is also advantageous. The affiliated hospital, Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC), operates a 24-7 adult medicine hospitalist service. The adult medicine hospitalists are the primary admitting service for the vast majority of primary care providers in the Saint Alphonsus network.
