Lexington Medical Center s Nurse Practitioner Fellowship is a structured, one-year program specifically designed to augment new nurse practitioners with the depth, breadth, volume and intensity of clinical training necessary for the clinical complexity of primary care. We are committed to meeting the demand for access to high-quality health care with well-trained, confident nurse practitioners as well as retaining talent within the Lexington Medical Center Physician Network.

The foundation of the fellowship consists of two primary rotations, each lasting 6 months, within a Lexington Medical Center Physician Network Family Medicine or Internal Medicine practice. Fellows will also have the opportunity to rotate through various Lexington Medical Center specialty practices.

To qualify, candidates must be licensed or anticipate licensure in South Carolina from an accredited nurse practitioner program. Candidates should have at least two years of full-time nursing practice or equivalent experience in providing direct patient care within the previous five years.
