The Department of Medicine at NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore), the principal teaching affiliate of The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, seeks an outstanding clinical geneticist who is passionate about providing quality patient care. This is an opportunity to work at NorthShore, an organization strongly committed to the future of genetics and personalized medicine, exhibited by our nationally recognized Center for Medical Genetics and Center for Personalized Medicine. As part of this collaborative effort, a Pharmacogenomics Clinic within the Genetics Division has been successfully launched in 2015. The Center for Medical Genetics was founded by Dr. Henry Lynch in 1996. As one of the fastest growing medical genetics centers in the United States, the program focuses on adult genetics but cares for pediatric patients as well. The Center collaborates in cutting-edge genomic research, is a national leader in creating and evaluating computerized family history tools, and has a growing emphasis on incorporating whole genome technologies into the clinic. Academic appointment to the University of Chicago is available to qualified candidates. 

Successful candidates will be board certified by ABIM and be BE/BC in medical genetics though candidates with other primary specialty training, and who have a strong interest in practicing adult genetic medicine, will be considered. Candidates who anticipate completion of their clinical genetics residency program in 2016 are encouraged to apply.
