Requirements include:
Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy; foreign graduates may apply if they have a permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates
Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
Eligibility for board certification
Completion of an approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship in family medicine
Between 21 and 42 years of age
U.S. citizenship
Membership in a Dedicated Team of Professionals Paid Annual Continuing Medical Education Scholarly activity opportunities >1700 active research protocols at Army medical centers (bench lab, human and animal) 50-60 protocols/year have a resident or fellow as lead investigator Publishing in high impact factor journals

Provides an annual grant of $45,000 while in residency Pays a monthly stipend of over $2200 while in Residency. Army Reserve program (STRAP) Part-time service obligation following residency training Pays a stipend of over $2200 per month during residency Can be combined with loan repayment. Loan repayment up to $120,000 for Active duty service up to $250,000 for Army Reserve service. Cash Bonus Up to $400,000 bonus for Active duty service Up to $75,000 for Army Reserve service.
