Associate Director for Clinical Research, Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute
TENURE TRACK FACULTY POSITION
PENN STATE COLLEGE OF MEDICINE, MILTON S. HERSHEY MEDICAL CENTER

The Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute seeks an Associate Director of Clinical Research to provide executive oversight, management and planning of clinical research. The Associate Director will direct and guide future growth of cancer clinical research, including: recruiting additional faculty, growing the NCI-funded research portfolio, seeking other sources of extramural support, expanding community engagement, and integrating the Cancer Institutes activities and priorities into the Clinical and Translational Science Institute and the Institute for Personalized Medicine. The Associate Director is responsible for collaboration, mentoring of junior faculty and growth of clinical research, including protocol development, activation, and accrual (particularly therapeutic and investigator-initiated trial accrual). Preference will be given to candidates with a MD or equivalent but those with a terminal doctoral degree in a clinical science will be considered. Clinicians must be Board Eligible/Board Certified. Salary level, total compensation, and start-up package will be highly competitive.
