Physician Director needed to join the only center in downstate Illinois designated by National Multiple Sclerosis Society as a Center for Comprehensive MS care, with access to neuro-otology, neuro-opthalmology, MS research studies, MS certified RNs, MS certified PT/OT, social workers and a supportive urology team.
Illinois Neurological Institute is seeking a board- certified neurologist and clinical researcher, with fellowship training and/or international known work in multiple sclerosis or neuroimmunology, to join a growing group, including more than 30 neurologists and advanced practice nurses. Most faculty are fellowship trained. Subspecialties include neuromuscular, neuro-ophthalmology, rehabilitation, epilepsy, stroke, headache, movement disorders, dementia, and sleep.
Physician should have strong leadership skills and a creative desire to grow a rapidly expanding program. MD should have knowledge of current MS treatment protocols and understanding of related systematic disorders such as bladder dysfunction, depression and cognitive impairment.
Call is currently 1:15, with inpatient neurology coverage for 4-6 weeks each year.
Tertiary referrals from a 37 county, Central Illinois population base of two million support and continue to foster growth within this high quality, busy neurology group.
