ST. LUKES UNIVERSITY HEALTH NETWORK (SLUHN) Opening New Hospital in Fall of 2016

St. Lukes Estes Surgical Associates is recruiting a General Surgeon to join the Division of Trauma & Acute Care Surgery. Applicants must be Board Eligible or Certified by the American Board of Surgery. The practice will primarily be bread and butter general surgery with an emphasis on minimally invasive techniques. It will be primarily based at one of the Network campuses, although opportunities to rotate at the Bethlehem campus will exist.

With the Temple-St. Lukes School of Medicine, St. Lukes has created the first and only regional medical school campus in the Lehigh Valley, validating our commitment to stay at the forefront of continual innovations in health care. St. Lukes Bethlehem, a Level I Trauma Center, has a busy general surgery residency along with a surgical critical care fellowship. The trauma service admits over 2,000 trauma patients per year. In addition to trauma care, the division is responsible for covering emergency general surgery and the surgical ICU. Clinical volumes include 180 trauma operative cases, 1,200 emergent/elective surgical cases and 1,000 critical care admissions.
