HealthPoint is currently seeking Faculty for the Family Medicine Residency Clinic located in Auburn, Washington.

Position Summary

Family Physician with OB who assists the Residency Director in the training of family medicine residents.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, supervision of residents' patient care and educational experiences, maintaining personal academic pursuits, and assisting in the administration of the residency program.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Teach and supervise residents and medical students in the outpatient clinic and inpatient.
Participate in the medical education and evaluation of residents and medical students using the core competencies set forth by the ACGME/AOA.
Development and supervision of staff.
One-on-one discussion regarding the care of every patient seen in the FMC.
Review of patients History and Physical exam. This may include a face-to-face discussion with the patient to confirm or elicit history.
Direct supervision of all procedures.
Evaluation of the resident/students fund of knowledge, diagnostic process, treatment options and follow up care.
Review resident charts from both inpatient and outpatient settings as requested and critique of the residents case presentation and documentation in the medical record.
Provide guidance in the area of Practice Management, teaching the business of medicine, and overseeing/ensuring proper billing and coding for each patient encounter.
Communicate with front and back office staff as well as other providers to help ensure a proper patient flow and streamlined processes whenever possible.
Act as a resident advisor, if applicable.
Provide didactic lectures as requested.
Teach and role-model the art of medicine.
Communicate with other residency faculty and program director regarding clinic processes and function. Providing feedback regarding staff and physician performance.
Participate in ongoing development of curriculum and resident educational rotations, if assigned. This includes the documentation of goals and objectives for learning, solidifying clinical agreements with physician teachers and outlining curricular schedules in concordance with other educational responsibilities of the resident. All curriculum must be compliant with the ACGME/AOA program information and RRC requirements and is subject to approval of Program Director and Core Faculty.
Participates in staff meetings, workshops, committee meetings and educational activities as requested by Program Director.
Adheres to all polices, standards and procedures included in the residency, admin, clinical and HR manuals and agency Code of Conduct.
