The Penn State Heart and Vascular Institute is seeking full-time faculty cardiologists specializing in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology for treatment across the continuum of medical management. The Heart Failure Cardiologists work in collaboration with a team of nurse practitioners to provide transitional care to patients with heart failure.

The Heart Failure team provides medical management to patients with complex therapies and interventions for advanced heart failure including:

* Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD)
* Total Artificial Heart
* Cardiac Transplantation
* Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant

Ideal candidates will have completed an Internal Medicine residency and appropriate additional sub-specialty training in Cardiology and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant. Applicants with heart transplant and LVAD therapy experience are preferred.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Medical degree - M.D., D.O. or foreign equivalent
Completion of an accredited residency program
Licensed for the practice of medicine in the State of Pennsylvania
Board certification/eligibility in Cardiology
