Hospice Physician at CarePartners

CarePartners seeks a full time Hospice Physician in Asheville, NC This position is responsible for the following;

Provision of in patient hospice care in a 26 bed in patient unit with an interdisciplinary care team.

Assessment of patients medical and functional status by obtaining relevant health and medical history and performing appropriate physical exam.

Ensure accurate, complete and timely clinical documentation in accordance with service/department guidelines.

Directs the team in transition of care venue and levels of care provided

Participates in call and weekend rotation to ensure 24 hour coverage.

Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions.

Promotes best practices in hospice care and facilitates access to appropriate services.

Board certification in Hospice /Palliative medicine or as a hospice Medical director preferred but not required.

Demonstrated clinical excellence in both medicine and communication skills
