HSHS Medical Group is recruiting employed General Surgeons to join a multi-specialty group with more than 400 providers throughout the Central and Southern Illinois area. The new general surgeon will be located at St. Anthonys Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois, just 90 minutes from St. Louis and 2 hours from Indianapolis.

St. Anthonys is a fully accredited not-for-profit general acute care facility serving a population of over 205,000 with 146 licensed beds and over 800 employees. One of the current general surgeons will be retiring in the next year so this is a great opportunity for the incoming surgeons. Call will be 1:4 with the ability to offer a full complement of bread and butter general surgeries. The dedicated medical staff at St. Anthonys consists of 80 local physicians and the Hospital offers medical, surgical, pediatric and obstetrical services, and an intensive care unit. Outpatient services include state of the art diagnostic, surgical, imaging, laboratory, cardiac and rehab.
