The Neuroscience department at Southern Illinois Healthcare is seeking applications for a board certified/eligible neurologist to support a strong neurology program, augment our clinical team and join our well-established multispecialty Neuroscience department.

This is an outstanding employed opportunity to join an office with:
- Two neurologists
- Two neurointensivist
- Two neurosurgeons
- Pain management neurologist
- Nurse Navigators

This neuroscience center is highly regarded in the community as a very busy and still growing practice. Our primary stroke center won gold plus award and gold honor roll this year by The Joint Commission.

Responsibilities include evaluation and management of patients with neurological diseases in inpatient and clinic setting and community engagement. Candidates must be able to work effectively in a collaborative, team oriented environment with a strong desire to focus on clinical and patient excellence.

Our opportunity includes:
- Welcoming subspecialty training and practice models
- Coverage of full scope of neurology services, including stroke call coverage
- EMG facility is available in office
- Neuroimaging including CT, 3.0T MRI, PET scanning and EEG availabile on premises
- 24-hour ICU rapid response teams
- Family medicine residency program
- 16 county patient population of 350,000

Purchased in 1995 from the ASC Health System, St. Joseph is the only Catholic facility in the Southern Illinois Healthcare family. A 25-bed Critical Access Hospital located in Murphysboro, St. Joseph offers
9,800 ED encounters annually; Prairie STAT Heart activated hospital for rapid transfer of STEMI patients
Accredited sleep center with locations at the hospital and in Marion
Outpatient geriatric psych program
All-digital imaging and archiving with CT, MRI, bone density testing and ACR-certified ultrasound services
Certified cardio-pulmonary outpatient rehabilitation
