Norton Medical Group, the employed physician practice division of Norton Healthcare in Louisville, KY is looking to recruit infectious disease physicians to join our existing group of 2 physicians and 1 mid-level. The physicians currently provide inpatient and outpatient services. The outpatient practice is located in the medical office buliding which is adjacent to Norton Brownsboro Hospital (see hospital description below). Practice call would be 1:3 then eventually go to 1:4 as we continue to grow. The physician would earn a competitive salary with bonus opportunity, paid malpractice, retirement contributions, and other employee benefits.

Norton Brownsboro Hospital opened its doors on August 26, 2009. It consists of five floors, 298,000 square feet, convenient ground-floor parking. Total cost: $146 million. The hospital features an open, airy design using abundant natural light; an earth-tone color scheme; wood accents; quieter carpeted nursing areas; and numerous windows overlooking hospital gardens, including large rooftop meditation gardens, to promote a healing environment. The hospital uses enhanced environmental and health principles that follow the Green Guide for Health Care, a best practices tool kit for planning, design, construction, operations and maintenance of new hospitals. Construction of Norton Brownsboro Hospital began in September 2007. On an original goal of 25 percent, some 29 percent of the construction, furnishing and equipment opportunities for the hospital were performed by minority- and women-owned businesses.

HOSPITAL SERVICES

Norton Brownsboro Hospital is a full service 127-bed community hospital serving patients in northeastern Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby, Carroll, Henry, Spencer, Trimble and surrounding counties. Norton Brownsboro offers a wide range of inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, orthopaedic, cardiovascular, neurological and neurosurgical, cancer and intensive care services. The hospital has a 24/7 emergency department with 22 private treatment rooms and a heliport for critical care transport into the facility. Using a patient- and family-centered model of care, the hospital features an open, airy design with large, private patient rooms and features enhanced environmental and health principles that follow the Green Guide for Health Care. The hospital has incorporated the latest trends in medical technology, including beside medication verification, high-tech surgical suites and state-of-the-art patient monitoring capabilities.
