Nurse Practitioner PMH Prescriber Out-Patient Clinic Setting

Seeking a BC/BE Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join this very busy growing practice. Requirement of being Board Eligible with a commitment to obtain Board Certification.

Practice size: 4 physicians, 3 PMHNPs, ~ 17 support staff, and ~ 35 licensed contract counselors from a variety of specialties. Schedule of 1-2 days a week.

Required to complete comprehensive mental health assessments, medication management and medically necessary follow up services. No supervisory responsibility for staff.

Call: for own patients only; telephone only. Light call call assistance via crisis center. No admits; hospital privileges not needed. Participate in after-hours coverage. Contracted position with the potential for employment. Contracted employees are paid for no-show appointments.

Number of patients seen per day: 12-15 for 30 minute appointments.

Qualities preferred: able to work independently as well as a great team player; experience & comfortable w/pts with intellectual & developmental disabilities; comfortable w/indigent population w/complex psychosocial backgrounds; effectively collaborate w/all members of medical treatment team on a multi-disciplinary level.
